How Can Hypnosis Help You?

"Hypnosis" refers to the state or condition in which a person becomes highly responsive to suggestions. The hypnotized individual seems to follow instructions in an uncritical, automatic fashion and attends closely only to those aspects of the environment made relevant by the hypnotist. Memory and awareness of self can be altered by suggestions given to the hypnotized person.

You will be amazed by just how many different issues hypnotherapy can help you with!

Most people know that hypnosis can be helpful to stop smoking or treating fears and phobias. But, did you know that it can help you pass your drivers test or become a better public speaker? It can assist you with anxiety, enhance sports performance, improve self-esteem, confidence, depression, weight loss, sugar addiction and so many other issues and improvements.

Everyone has experienced hypnotic trance states naturally. An example of this is when you are driving your car and you miss your exit because you are daydreaming. Maybe you are absorbed in a good book and you fail to hear someone speaking to you.

As a professional trained hypnotherapist, I will give you carefully worded instructions to follow with the aim of helping you enter into a state of deep relaxation and focused attention. You need only cooperate, follow my instructions and be a willing active participant in the process.

Once in a hypnotic state, you are more suggestible to positive statements, enabling you to focus on the positive suggestions and be open to experiencing new perspectives and solutions to your challenge. While in the hypnotic state, you will be aware of everything that is going on, and you will be able to recall the work we do when you emerge from hypnosis.

Typically, 4 to 6 hypnotherapy sessions are recommended to permanently effect the changes you want in your life. The work we do in each session is different, and is always more powerful that the previous one! You get better and better with each session, until you are completely healed.

Misconceptions About Hypnosis

Loss Of Consciousness:
This is one of the most common misconceptions surrounding hypnosis. Many believe that people who are hypnotized are unconscious. This is due to it portrayal on TV and on the stage.

Surrender of Will:
Hypnosis has been portrayed as a surrender of will, making an individual submit to the "power" of the hypnotist. A hypnotized individual is always capable of making decisions at all times.

Week Mindedness:
The belief that only fools can be hypnotized. The trust is, because hypnosis requires concentration, the best clients are actually the more intelligent of the population.

Revelation of Secrets:
In hypnosis you can be forced to reveal secrets about yourself and others. A client is aware of everything while in hypnosis and this could not happen. People can talk if necessary, but can fib just as easily.

Fear of Not Being Revived:
Some people are afraid that once hypnotized, they will never come out of it. Since the client actually induces the trance themselves, clients can readily revive themselves when necessary.
